Obituary
Ruby Lee Reynolds, 85, of Olton, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in Amarillo. Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Ruby was born April 29, 1932, in Lockney, Texas, to Frank and Myrtle (Messer) Messimer. She married Gene Reynolds on April 6, 1950, in Clovis, New Mexico. Moving to Olton in 1956, Ruby was a long-time hairdresser and owned and operated Ruby's Hair Fashions. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. A talented seamstress and fabulous artist, Ruby loved spending time with her husband and could always be found by his side.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene Reynolds, in 2016, a son, Lonnie Reynolds, in 2017, two sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include her son, Randy Reynolds and his wife, KangSun of Wichita, her daughter, Marti Coleman of Amarillo, and a sister, Charlene Hughes of Amarillo. She was blessed with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church P.O. Box 408 Olton, TX 79064 or the Olton Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 1087 Olton, TX 79064.
