Obituary
Ruby Smith, 85, of Olton, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012, in Littlefield. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 24, 2012, at the Olton Cemetery with Brad Wangerin officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Ruby was born June 26, 1927, in Tuttle, OK to Ernest and Ethel Morris. On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1946, she married Ollie Smith in Loop, Texas. She moved to Olton in 1950 where she and her husband owned and operated the EZ Way Laundry for 63 years. Ruby loved to garden and served as the caretaker of the Olton Cemetery for 13 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister, and her son-in-law, Jimmy Wayne Bennett in 2010.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Ollie Smith of Olton, one son, Larry Smith of Olton, one daughter, Oleta Bennett of Amarillo, and a sister, Frances Lenore Morris of Chattanooga, TN. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Rhonda Bennett and Larry Bennett, both of Amarillo.
