Sally Cantu Castillo, 61, of Hale Center, died Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Plainview, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Church of the Valley, in Hale Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2024, at Church of the Valley, with Rev. Israel Flores officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, Texas, under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Sally was born December 13, 1962, in Brownfield, Texas, to Leopoldo and Mary Ann (Espinosa) Cantu. On November 4, 1979, Sally married Charlie Castillo and they were married over 44 years. A lifetime resident of Hale Center, Sally was a member of Church of the Valley. She loved singing and worshiping the Lord. Sally was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed cookouts and making menudo. Sally was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (definitely not the Cowboys). She enjoyed cruising around, shopping, and occasionally pampering herself. Most of all, Sally loved spending time with her family and enjoying her grandchildren.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Leopoldo and Mary Ann Cantu and two grandsons, Charlie Espinosa and Daniel Castillo, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Castillo of Hale Center, three sons, Charlie Castillo, Jr. and wife Julie of Hale Center, Daniel Castillo and wife Lindsay of Plainview, and David Castillo and wife Bethany of Hale Center, four daughters, Ruby Lopez and husband Arthur of Midland, Norma Diaz and husband Benjamin of Hale Center, Heather Espinosa and husband Robert of Levelland, and Kimberly Carmona and husband Jesus of Hale Center, one brother, Crespin Cantu of Hale Center, Josie Castillo, Irene Hinojosa, Minnie Ramirez, Christina Salas, Florenda Caudillo, Vicky Portillo, Erlinda Cantu, and Mary Lou Portillo. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren.
