Santiago H. Medellin, Jr., 44, of Plainview, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at New Creation In Christ Church, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2025, at New Creation In Christ Church, with Pastor Mike Bueno, officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery, in Hale Center, under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Santiago was born on December 18, 1980, in Meade, Kansas, to Santiago Sr. and Manuela (Falcon) Medellin. Santiago spent his life working hard as both a farmer and a truck driver. He moved to Plainview from Floydada 12 years ago and made it home with his wife and family.

Santiago loved music and especially enjoyed playing the accordion. He was a proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys and looked forward to watching football, always cheering on Patrick Mahomes. He also enjoyed driving tractors and trucks, and had a soft spot for anything John Deere. More than anything, Santiago loved his family. He cherished time with his grandchildren and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Santiago Medellin Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Medellin of Plainview; his mother, Manuela Medellin of Plainview; three sons, D.J. Maciel and wife Layla Ibarra of Plainview, Gerardo Espinosa of Lubbock, and Gavino Espinosa of Lubbock; four daughters, Mercedes Ypina and husband Jose of Tulia, Sabrina Espinosa of Lorenzo, Alexandra Espinosa of Plainview, and Alexis Espinosa of Hale Center; two brothers, Julian Medellin and wife Marissa of Plainview and Martin Medellin of Floydada; and one sister, Mary Lou Medellin and husband Miguel of Mission. Santiago was blessed with 22 grandchildren who brought him great joy.
