Sara Gonzales Mosqueda, 81, of Olton, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, in Lubbock. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Sara was born September 15, 1929 in Karnes City, Texas to Julian and Micaela Gonzales. She married Juan Mosqueda Sr. on January 11, 1953. In 1963, she moved to Olton from Ecleto, Texas. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. Sara was a homemaker to perfection and loved to bake and cook. She was a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Juan A. Mosqueda Sr. of Olton, two sons, Alfonso Mosqueda of Earth and Juan G. Mosqueda Jr of Olton, two daughters, Alicia Esquivel of Olton and Julie Ann Newton of Hereford, two brothers, Fortino Gonzales of Burnet, TX and Bruno Gonzales of Plains, TX, four sisters, Lupe Arriola of San Antonio, Petra Alvarez of Seminole, Victoria Brosig of Karnes City, and Juanita Mosqueda of Lubbock. She was blessed with sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
