Shane Barnett, 32, of Olton, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Kyle Streun and Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Dennison Shane Barnett was born May 5, 1982, in Lubbock to Bart and Patricia (Daugherty) Barnett. He graduated from Olton High School in 2000 and Sul Ross University with a degree in animal science. His passion in life was working with animals. He enjoyed stock shows and was the best around at clipping and fitting calves. Shane traveled all over the country helping others with their animals. A lifetime Olton resident, Shane will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, J Frank Daugherty and Denny Barnett.

Survivors include his parents, Bart and Patricia Barnett of Olton, his grandmothers, Barbara Daugherty of Olton and Carmeleta Barnett of Lubbock, his brother, Billy Barnett of Olton, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Friday, January 9, 2015.
