Obituary

Silbina Lopez Mojica, 94, of Cotton Center, went home to be with our Heavenly Father, on May 8, 2020.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Olton Cemetery with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Silbina was born May 4, 1926, in Calvert, Texas, to Jose and Juanita (Perez) Lopez.  She married Juan "John" Mojica in 1945 and was a homemaker.  Silbina and John loved having a garden and attending farmers markets to sell their homegrown veggies.  She also enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and sewing.  A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton, Silbina was a remarkably strong woman and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan "John" Mojica in 2011, a daughter, Anita Mojica, and a son, Fred Mojica.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include seven children: Joe Mojica and his wife Frances, Alfred Mojica, and Robert Mojica, all of Cotton Center, Richard Mojica and his wife Isabel of Olton, Silvia Sauceda and her husband Phillip of Olton, Juanita Flores of Cotton Center, Louisa "Lulu" Gomez of Olton, and one brother, Pete Lopez of Granger, Texas.  She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
