Silverio P. "Jack" Salas, 83, of Olton, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Hale Center.  Rosary will be said at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 11, 2018, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 11, 2018, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Sylvester D'Souza officiating.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Jack was born January 13, 1935, in Runge, Texas, to Timeoteo and Jesusita (Peraida) Salas.  A lifetime Olton resident, Jack was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  He was known to always be joking around and making people laugh.  Jack enjoyed puzzle books, playing Bingo, and pitching washers.  Most of all, he loved listening to his music.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lee Salas, and a sister, Senaida Diaz.

Survivors include his son, Tim Salas of Olton, his daughters, Sanny Jimenez and her husband, Tony of Olton and Lydia Salas of Abernathy, two brothers, Roy P. Salas of Olton and Dan Salas and his wife, Ophelia of Rockford, Ill, and two sisters, Molly Fonseca and her husband, Alfred of Olton and Olivia Garza and her husband, Alfred of Olton.  He was blessed with eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
