Steve Washington, 54, of Hale Center, died Monday, March 26, 2018, in Lubbock.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center with Mr. Jackie King officiating.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Hale Center.

Steve was born July 18, 1963, in Lima, Ohio, to Noel and Patty (Davidson) Washington.  A lifetime Hale Center resident, Steve was a Baptist.  He loved to garden, fish, and was a collector of Coca-Cola items.  An avid video game player, Steve was a gentle giant with a big heart.  He was an animal lover and will be missed by his fur babies, Layla, Baxter, and Boots.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sisters, Billie Ruiz and her husband, Johnny of Hale Center and Bobbie Baker and her husband, Tim of Hale Center.  He was blessed with a niece, Resa Jimenez and her husband, Robert of Hale Center, two nephews, Garrett Armijo and his wife Liz of San Antonio and Bronson Armijo of San Marcos, a great-niece, Grace, and a great-nephew, Noah.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Hale Center Senior Citizens Center  P.O. Box 205 Hale Center, Texas 79041.
