Sylvia Banda Pedroza, 69, of Amarillo and formerly of Olton, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Amarillo.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Olton, with Fr. John Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2022, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Sylvia was born June 10, 1953, in Leesville, Texas, to Marcelo, Jr. and Rosa (Pena) Banda.  She earned her Associates degree in business administration and was a certified CNA.  On June 15, 1983, she married Oscar Pedroza and they were together over 39 years.  Moving to Amarillo from Olton in 2000, Sylvia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Amarillo.  Sylvia loved dancing, traveling, and reading.  She enjoyed going to garage sales and could always find a good deal.  Spending time with her family was important to her and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Pedroza of Amarillo, four brothers, Francisco Banda of Dallas, Jose G. Banda of Olton, Johnny Banda and wife Olivia of Goodyear, AZ, and Ray Banda and wife Virginia of Olton, and four sisters, Olivia Elizondo and husband Raymund of Levelland, Irma Cook of Plainview, Maria Banda of Walsenburg, CO, and Maricela Salinas and husband Tim of Plainview.
