IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ted
Richardson
March 24, 1938 – May 2, 2024
Ted Richardson, 86, of Hale Center, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Hale Center, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
Teddie Donald Richardson was born March 24, 1938, in Erath, Texas, to Hosie Clyde and Vetress Kathrine (Caldwell) Richardson. A longtime farmer in the Hale Center area, Ted also owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Hale Center for 13 years. Ted enjoyed tinkering on his tractors and loved his sweets, especially fruit cake. He was an animal lover and his dogs, Lady and Groot, meant the world to him. Having coffee at the Owl Cafe and hanging out at the pool hall is where Ted could often be found. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching "wrastling", and spending time with his family.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Roswitha "Rosie" Lanning, daughter, Mylissa Nicholson, sons, Kirk Richardson and Lance Richardson, and daughter-in-law, Brenda Richardson.
Those left to honor his memory include his stepson, Mickey Blankenship of Canyon, eleven grandchildren: Devin, Zachary, Brice, Misty, Heather, Scott, Chelsey, Courtney, Leah, Madyson, and Kelsi and ten great-grandchildren.
