Theresa Ann Williams, 69, of Olton, died Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Olton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at Main Street Church of Christ, in Olton, with Evangelist Dallas Carrasco, officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Ramage Funeral Directors, in Olton.
Theresa was born January 22, 1955, in Midland, Texas, to Johnie and Hazel Mary (Estep) Creek. A resident of Olton for over 50 years, Theresa was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. On March 6, 1981, Theresa married Robert Williams, Jr. and they were married over 42 years. She worked for Olton ISD starting in 1992 and served as the payroll clerk from 1995 until her retirement in 2023. Theresa excelled at cooking and she specialized in making hot sauce and was an excellent cinnamon roll and fudge maker. Camping and fishing were also her favorite things to do. Theresa invested her time in her family, whom she loved dearly and although she never had children of her own, she had numerous nieces and nephews that she considered her kids.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Williams, Jr., a stepdaughter, Toyika Williams, three brothers, Jimmie Creek, Bobby Creek, and Jerry Creek, a sister, Johnie Creek, and a sister-in-law, Nina Williams.
Those left to cherish her memory include her stepson, Robert E. Williams III of Lubbock, Texas, a brother, Ben Creek of New Mexico, two sisters, Mary Eppard and husband Charlie of New Mexico and Rose Willoughby of New Mexico, five brothers-in-law, Alan Williams, Kevin Williams, and Leland Dear, all of Olton, Chris Williams of Nazareth, and Bill Garlick of Wilson, North Carolina, seven sisters-in-law, Stella Creek of New Mexico, Celia Creek of Big Lake, Kay Creek of Oklahoma, Fredda Dear of Olton, Linda Garlick of Wilson, North Carolina, Brenda Williams of Olton and Twila Williams of Nazareth, and her loyal best friend and sister by choice, Teresa Adams of Olton. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Olton Cemetery Association PO Box 1055 Olton, Texas 79064 or the Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association PO Box 1087 Olton, Texas 79064.
The family would like to say a special thanks for Cornerstone Caregivers, especially Ruby, Sally, Aubrey, Sharon, and Eulalia, Jennifer & Laura. They were angels on earth for us and for Theresa. Also, the family would like to say a special thanks to Interim Hospice, Nurse Flora, and Dr. Kenneth Horton for the loving care they showed to Theresa during her final few months.
