Tiodoro "Lolo" Rivera, 83, of Olton, died Monday, November 2, 2020, in San Antonio.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Fr. Jacob Powell officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Viewing will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Tiodoro was born April 7, 1937, in Pecos, Texas, to Antonio and Modesta (Gomez) Rivera.  Moving to Olton over 66 years ago, Lolo worked for the City of Olton for many years and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  Tiodoro was recognized as one of the first members of the Cursillistas.  An avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan, Lolo enjoyed telling stories and cooking, especially pizza. He could be found scratching lottery tickets at Fast Stop and walking all over town. Most of all, Lolo loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Simon Rivera and a sister, Nicomedes Anzaldua.

Survivors include his son, Tiodoro Rivera, Jr. of Texas City, one daughter, Ismeralda Rivera Zapata of Beeville, a brother, Pedro Rivera of San Antonio, and six sisters, Nolberta Almanza of Littlefield, Josefa Gloria of Olton, Inocencia Rey of San Antonio, Maria Hernandez of Plainview, Dominga Sanchez of Garland, and Eliza Sauceda of Olton.  He was blessed with three grandchildren: Ricardo Gabriel Alvarez, Ashley Nicole Alvarez, Jessien Elena Alvarez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
