Tomas Soliz Sanchez, 63, of Olton, died Monday, March 6, 2017, in Lubbock. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 13, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Craig Woody officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday, March 11 & 12.

Tomas was born June 6, 1953, in Beeville, Texas, to Jose and Tomasa (Soliz) Sanchez. He moved to Olton in 1962 from Beeville and was a Baptist. He enjoyed spending time with his boys and fixing things with his hands. Solving word searches, watching old cowboy movies and helping others were some of the things Tomas was known to love.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Jamez Abraham Sanchez, Gabreal Mathew Sanchez, and Izaiah Samuel Sanchez, all of Plainview, a brother, Jimmy Sanchez of Dallas, and a sister, Rosie Sanchez of Plainview.
