Obituary
Torchie LaRue Cure Curry, 70, of Olton, died Friday, March 12, 2010 in Lubbock. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 14, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Torchie was born October 17, 1939 in Hale Center to William and Winona Walton Cure. She married Clifford Curry June 4, 1958 in Olton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Advance Sunday School class. Torchie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and loved to fish.
She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Kyle Curry in 1998, a brother, Dan Cure in 2006, and a granddaughter, Teri LaRue Silvas in 1985.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Curry of Olton, two daughters, Billie Ellen Dyer and her husband, Dan of Palestine, TX, and Torri Silvas and her husband, Refugio Silvas, Jr. of Tyler, TX. She was blessed with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church P.O. Box 1081 Olton, TX 79064 or the Olton Cemetery Association P.O. Box 1055 Olton, TX 79064.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2010.
