Trinidad "Trinie" Briseno, 94, of Hale Center, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her home in Hale Center. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Fr. Alex Ambrose officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.
Trinie was born June 15, 1930, in Plainview, Texas, to Antonio and Eulalia (Gonzalez) Duran. Raised in Hale Center by Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Sierra, Trinie was a lifetime member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She served the church and the Catholic faith her entire life. Trinie worked for Catholic Family Services Legalization Project in Lubbock for over five years and served as a Eucharistic minister in the church. She was also St. Theresa's church sacristan and was in charge of the sacristy, the church, and their contents. A faithful follower of Christ, Trinie was a member of the Brothers and Sisters of St. Francis fraternity and the Guadalupanas.
Trinie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Sierra, a son, Antonio "Tony" Briseno, and three sisters, Mary Rogers, Evalina Casanova, and Belia Flores.
Survivors include her son, Mike Briseno of Amarillo and three daughters, Isabel Almendarez of Plainview, Alvina Briseno of Amarillo, and Trinie Briseno Jr. of Amarillo. She was blessed with several nieces and nephews including Belia Flores of Hale Center, Dr. Debbie Flores of Lubbock, and Fidel Flores of Lubbock.
