Obituary
Velma Kemp passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Olton Cemetery with Mr. Mike Reed, minister of Main Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Mrs. Kemp was born October 31, 1929 in Celina, Texas. She married Bill Kemp, August 16, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death, August 28, 1999. She moved to Olton in 1947 and then to Lubbock in 2001. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Olton and was the secretary of Production Credit Association for over 30 years.
Survivors include three sons, George Kemp of Odessa, TX, Jerry Kemp of Breckenridge, CO, and Jackey Kemp of Lubbock, TX, two brothers, Wallace Kinney of Celina, TX, Pete Kinney of Canton, TX, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
