Wanda Gwenelle "Rainie" Jacobs, 92, of Plainview, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in Olton.  Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Gwen was born December 20, 1927, in Brownfield, Texas, to Rome and Forrest (Stover) Jacobs.  She was the youngest of seven children.  Gwen lived most of her life in Hale County, Texas, where she attended school and raised her children.  She became an accomplished photographer working for Miles Studio and eventually became the owner of Gwenelle's Portraits Studio.  She moved to Laguna Beach, CA in 1981, living there for approximately 10 years.  Gwen loved the ocean, beaches, California weather, plants and beautiful works of art in Orange County.  She returned to the Texas Panhandle in 1992 where she continued to work in the retail and travel industry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Wooten, her parents, a son-in-law, Byron Warren, two brothers, Bert Jacobs and Joe Jacobs, and four sisters, Willie Mae Moon, Romi Lee Patrick, Loyce Bond, and Evelyn Raper.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Reecer and his wife Sharon of Yuma, Arizona, Chris Reecer and wife Marni of Fort Worth, TX, and Chad Morphis of Amarillo, TX, her daughter, Robin Roland and husband Jeff of Kerrville, TX and a daughter-in-law, Vickie Reecer.  She was blessed with nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
