Wendell Cavett, 80, of Fritch and formerly of Olton, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016, in Borger. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Olton Cemetery with Brother David Azam officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Wendell was born May 14, 1936, to Henry and Lillian Cavett. He was raised in Olton, but lived most of his life in Fritch. He graduated from Olton High School in 1955 and served in the United States Army from 1955-1958.

Survivors include his son, Glenn Cavett and his wife, Charlotte of Wichita Falls and his grandsons, Brandon Cavett of Rowlett and Devon Cavett of Wichita Falls.

The family would like to acknowledge Beverly Creacy for being such a good friend and for helping to take care of Wendell for many years. They would also like to acknowledge the nurses and staff at Borger Healthcare Center for providing excellent care for Wendell over the past two years.
