Obituary
W.H. "Judd" Davis, 104, of Hart, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, in Olton. Services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Hart Church of Christ with Mr. Jerry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Judd was born March 30, 1907 in Kemp, Oklahoma to John and Texanna Davis. He moved to Castro County in 1930. On December 16, 1930, he married Mary Eloise Winkle in Holdenville, OK. He was a member of the Hart Church of Christ and farmed until the early seventies. He loved Hart Days and dancing his jigs. He was a talented banjo player and enjoyed birthday parties.
He was preceded in death by his wife, M.E., in 1981, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his son, Lloyd Davis of Dimmitt, three daughters, Laverne McLain of Hart, Pat Benson of Bangs, and Edna Kittrell of Hart. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 25, 2011.
