Wilbur Gallaway passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Arlington, Texas. Services will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Pastor Larry Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Olton Cemetery.

Mr. Gallaway was born June 22, 1926 in Plainview, TX and raised in Olton. He graduated from Olton High School and was a farmer. He also owned the Superett grocery store from 1955 to 1957. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. In 2000, he moved to Arlington to live with his son.

Survivors include his son, Martin Gallaway and his wife, Anita of Arlington, TX, his daughter, Pamela Edwards and her husband, Michael of Montgomery, AL, a brother, Charles Gallaway of Olton, five grandchildren, Nicholas Edwards, Heather Edwards, Kristopher Gallaway, Andrew Gallaway, and Zachary Gallaway, and one great granddaughter, Alexandria Castellani.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Gallaway and his sister, Gladys Womack.
