Obituary

William Curtis Malone, 89, of Brighton, CO and formerly of Hart, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in Thornton, CO. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 8, 2011 at Olton Cemetery with Rev. Wilbur Ormond officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Mr. Malone was born July 28, 1921 in Lockney, Texas to John and Della Homer Malone. He served as a Corporal in the U.S.Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946. On December 31, 1946, he married Eloise Preston. He was a member of the Elks Club, the VFW, and was one of the founders of the Hart Riding Club. He was a member of the Hart First United Methodist Church. In 1974, they moved to Brighton, Colorado where he resided until his death.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise, in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Harley Malone of Abilene, and Kyle Malone and his wife, Jody of Keenesburg, CO, and a sister, Jometa McLain of Hart. He was blessed with four grandchildren.
