Obituary
Winona Trusty, 86, of Olton, died Friday, October 19, 2012, in Olton. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 22, 2012 at Olton Cemetery with Mr. Howard Morris officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Winona Louise Trusty was born August 17, 1926 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to Raymon and Lila Johnson Lyon. She moved to Olton in 1927 and graduated from Olton High School in 1944. On November 5, 1944, she married Vervie Trusty. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and the Lamb County Home Extension Club. Winona was an excellent cook and served as a cook for the Olton Lions Club for over twenty years. She was a talented quilter, seamstress, and a wonderful mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and a brother, Elvin Lyon in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie J. Trusty of Lubbock and Terry R. Trusty and his wife, Susie of Lubbock, and a brother, Dwaine Lyon of Manhattan Beach, CA. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Wesley Trusty and his wife, Monica, Jeremy Trusty, Ryan Trusty, and Jennifer Trusty, all of Lubbock.
Memorials may be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center P.O. Box 409 Olton, TX 79064.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, October 21, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
