Yvonne Lewis, 82, of Olton, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Lubbock.  Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, March 4, 2018.

Yvonne was born December 17, 1935, in Paducah, Texas, to Tom and Opal (Roberts) Henderson.  Losing her mom at a young age, Yvonne's father married Alene Markum and together they raised Yvonne.  On June 6, 1954, Yvonne married Elmer Lewis, in Sudan, Texas, and they were married over 63 years.  They made their home in Olton where she quickly became involved in the First Baptist Church.  She sang in the church choir for over 40 years, volunteered in the church library, and taught Sunday School for over 20 years.  A talented seamstress, Yvonne did custom sewing for many people throughout the years.  She was a very humble person who helped many people without them ever knowing it.  Yvonne loved God, her church, and especially her grandchildren, who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Opal Henderson and her step-mother, Alene Henderson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Elmer Lewis of Olton, two sons, Steve Lewis and his wife, Sally of Canyon and Richard Lewis and his wife, Camille of Lubbock, and two daughters, Kim Griffin of Houston and Naomi Vinson of Waco.  She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Dustin Lewis, Kody Lewis, Augusta Owens, Brian Griffin, Sara Steffin, Nina Hart, April Hawkins, and Hayle Poston and 16 great-grandchildren.
